Question:
A question for people who enjoy rap and hip-hop?
Do you enjoy rock...I mean sensible rock?! I am not talking about some radical rock, like screaming psychotically or death metal or whatever...
It just that rap and hip-hop seem like an exact opposite of the rock genre: hip-hop focuses on the 'beat' and rhythm of the song and the vocals are also different...and rock's main focus is on the melody, the guitar, the air-tight vocal progressions.
I mean, personally I naturally lean toward the rock genre and for some reason rap music just doesn't sound right to me - no offense intended.
So do rap/hip-hop enthusiasts like rock? If so, than which kind(maybe name the bands)?
And why do I almost never see people of Black ethnic origin listen to rock at all? I have barely seen one ANYWHERE hold a guitar or enjoy hearing one!..... it puzzles me....

Haha, mamma...I don't think anyone listens to elevator music - thats why its called what it is! xD
Its a pity that not many people of black skin answered, but Green Eyes - you may be right. Maybe I just don't notice rap that much because its sort of singing about nonsense these days , I haven't heard the older stuff though.....=]

Yea, I like both!!! I like Dr. Dre, Eminem, Puffy, Missy E, ACDC, Aerosmith, GnR, Ozzy Ozbourne, & sooooooooo many more!!!!!!!! I hear what you're saying though! I like lots of music, but not many country & NO classical or elevator music plz!!!! lol
