Question:

I know im way late but whats up with disney and those hidden messages?

donald duck called daffy a n%**@. and the endless sexual messages. im freakin out

Answers:

I dont know too much about the donald reference, but i've included a link saying it's not true. but there are a few that I have seen. The one that stands out most in my mind was the Lion King. There's a scene where the word sex seems to materialize (from clouds or stars, , .i dont recall)

The company said that it was added in post by the SFX department (special effects) and that in fact was what it meant.

Some claims are 'real', however... in the case of the resucers, some editor put 2 frames of a topless woman..millions of copies were recalled (it had been in the film for decades)

Some people look at it as a marketing ploy. . (publicity stunt)
many are worried about the (subliminal/subconsious) negative affects these things will have on their children. Before you jump on the bandwagon, consider this. When you first heard about these scenes, could you immediately identify them, or did you have to go back and look at them? (those w/o the movies went out to buy them) Adults are certainly more capable of catching an "inside" joke and the chances your child will notice is slim at best.

Look at shrek....they had open, obvious comments that were, in my opinion put there for adult/parent enjoyment..comments kids would probably have NO idea was being said.

Take for example the scene where shrek, donkey and fiona first see the castle.

Donkey says replys to fionas amazement at the big castle...
"Shrek says he's compensating for somthing. I think that means he's got a really small..."

"DONKEY"

I died when I heard that. . .was I worried about my kids hearing it or whatever. Nope...they had no clue...

or the "eat me" gingerbread comment...
(granted, those arent disney . .but i'm hoping you get my point)

Personally i'd be more upset about a lemming documentary that Disney made back in 1958, where they forced lemmings to jump off a cliff to "document their suicidal behavior" did disney know about it? who knows...

LOL i dont know if i've helped at all or simply bored you with my babble...regardless....take care and have a great weekend!
