either Captain Corelli's Mandolin or The Master And Magherita.Captain Corellis is amazing both sad and happy,but the end is weird.Even thou it is somewhat of a happy ending it also makes you think it is the sadest thing ever(meeting the person you have always loved right at the end of your life when it is too late to have a full life with them).The Master And Magherita you will have to read yourself.It was written a long time ago by an artist Mikhael Bulgakov in Russia and was banned at the time as Russia was too communist.About the devil on earth in many forms and creates havoc but leaves without a trace and no one can find any evidence anything actually happened.Madness and very very clever.
