What I really mean is what strings u have to fret to play different notes.

Depends on what kind of guitar you have - a bass guitar, or a tenor guitar? Or a standard guitar, or a slack string guitar, or a Hawaiian guitar or ---
There are literally dozens of different kinds of guitars and different tunings.
You can get any one of a dozen instruction books at your music store - or even at the library for that matter - which will explain the common tunings, and which frets you have to use to play a particular note or chord on your guitar.
It can be a lot of fun and if you're just starting, it's worth while to learn how to read guitar music. Playing by ear only gets you so far, but if you can read the music, you can play anything.
