Fender Strat or RJ Strat?!

Fender Strat or RJ Strat?

I'm a beginning guitarist, and I badly need an electric guitar. I want a Fender Strat, but I find it hard to find one in the Philippines. On the other hand, my friend has an RJ Strat (the next best thing), bought last April. Which should I buy?

NOTE: I currently have NO money and if I have to save up for the Fender, it will take me up to December. If I have to save up for the RJ, I'll have enough money by the end of August.

this depends on where your heart lies! if you plan on making a living out of music then go ahead and buy the real strat, but if you plan on just playing in the bedroom get the RJ. I ran into this question when I switched from 4 string to 5 string bass several years ago.... I made the jump to a cheaper guitar and within 6 months i needed the more expensive guitar to get the tone and feel I really wanted but opted out of by getting the cheaper guitar. Tone and Comfort both have equal share in the decision making process of buying a new guitar looks have very little. Remember Ugly Guitars make beautiful music!
