Question: Stop the anime fanboys!?
People should stop saying that anime is better than cartoons, most cartoons are geared toward kids while anime is mostly geared towards older kids and teens!. So its only fair to compare shows that were made for the same demographic!. Naruto bleach fullmetal alchemist dragonball, those are good but so is Avatar Kappa mikey Chaotic m'rillean invasion TMNT three delivery The Batman and Ben 10!. All of wich have character development storyline and good artwork!. So quit with the haterade fanboys!. Your thoughts on this are welcome hereWww@Enter-QA@Com

Most people dislike western animation for one main reason, for years it was garbage!. The relatively recent influx of eastern animation has actually helped the overall scene!. But anyway, I think most people were so sick of American animated crap that when they found out that there was an entire world of great animation in anime, they just went all in!. I'm a huge fan of both, but I think that even though there are a lot more mature Japanese animated shows, the relatively still pervasive power of American animated suckage has forced the good to strive for greatness, while too many anime shows seem to be copying each other!. It wasn't until I discovered anime I was willing to give any western cartoons a shot, and if anyone is truly a fan of animation, they should give western cartoons a second look, I believe America may start once again becoming the (good) animated capital, although this is in large part due to the influence of Japanese anime!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
Okay hold on a second!. As a fanboy of many different things, I find that statement to be slightly inaccurate!. DB was a 1990's Anime that ended in early 00's!. Therefore DB had to compete with actual good cartoons!.
In comparison, today's Anime vs Cartoon thing is a bit more one-sided!.
Most of the cartoons today suck!. I'm not going to lie, Ben 10 and Avatar were okay, better than the rest of the pieces of crap that are released as cartoons these days, but the Anime blow them out of the water tenfold!. Sure, they are aims at different age groups, but then a show like Chowder comes along and tries to go up against an Anime like One Piece!. Kids laugh at Chowder because it sucks, even if it has hidden adult content!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

I do however, OFTEN see, "Why is anime taken so seriously by it's fans!?" or "Don't you think anime is overrated!?"!.
The fangirls and fanboys here are not the one's starting the arguments within the community!.
It's people who don't EVEN watch anime that post questions judging something they have no knowledge of!.

I'm a fangirl, but I like both the West and East cartoons: anime and cartoons!.
I have loved cartoons as a child as I love anime!.

The cartoons you mentioned are intended for older kids and teens!.
While I do think Avatar is a good show, it would never have been created if not for anime!.
Michael Dante DiMartino (one of the creators of Avatar) has stated his love of anime inspired Avatar!.
Kappa Mikey is marketed as the first anime produced in America, it's character development and art style is taken from anime!.
The Batmans art design was created by Jeff Matsuda (half Japanese by the way, and a huge fan of anime)
TMNT was created in Hong Kong, well the artwork was!.
Three Deilvery's animation style is also taken from anime!.
Duncan Rouleau and Joe Casey (two of the creators of Ben 10) have claimed that anime was a big inspiration for the show!.
You really shouldn't use shows that take their ideas from anime to state your point that they also have character development and good artwork!. They have that because those are concepts that were taken from anime!.
Everyone is entitled to their opinion!.
I prefer anime to cartoons!.
Some cartoons are better than some anime!. One of my favorite cartoons of all time was X-Men!. The X-men cartoon is a million times better than the X-Men anime, though the anime is hilarious for all the wrong reasons!.

Oh and to comment on the response you gave to the previous question that I answered, you do know that the artist of Spy Boy is Asian and uses his love of anime/manga as inspiration for the artwork he does in the comic don't you!?
Besides comic artwork is amazing, especially some like Choi, Dillion, Liefeld , etc!.
You can't compare the artwork they do to the artwork most anime and cartoons use on a daily basis!.

Hey I'm with you on that!. I still enjoy watching cartoons and seeing another way of art expression!. I only prefer anime more now because I'm an older teen, but I still enjoy those cartoons from the 40's up until now (pink panther one of my faves!)!. Avatar is american Korean, but still is one of the best I've seen, even compared to what they have out for kids that age in anime! Heck, I grew up on Disney cartoons and movies and payed attention to every single one of them with my sister!.
by the way, I don't know what you mean by fanboys!. I'm just a student who likes to study art of any kinds whether it be from europe (I did see that Triplets of Bellavue movie) or from America, or even from Japan!. So you see, I'm just an art lover who'd take anything that's worth anything!. And don't have anything against me or others like me who just prefer older kids and adult anime because that is what Japan provides more!.
I watch stuff like Family Guy, American Dad, King of the Hill, Simpsons (love the older though), and stuff (Adult swim is too ecchi for me though, worse than some anime I have encountered)!.
So before you think that anime-prone art lovers are just haters of anything else, think again!. There are alot of us out there and we don't like to be categorized into a fan-based system that involves one genre or anything like that!.
