Question: How did Klingons get so advanced!?
Think about it!. They are a bunch of crazy savages who still enjoy using weird looking swords, so how are we to expect that they could create warp drive, cloaks, phasers, and so on!? Someone tell me how some Klingon genius was even allowed to exist because it seems to me that on their planet he would just get a knife to the back for not being honorableWww@Enter-QA@Com

First off, you have to understand that they aren't savages!. They are quite civilized, just in a different style than we are!. They are very much honor-bound and ritualistic!. In many ways, their society mirrors that of ours during the Renaissance!. People had guns and cannons, and used them in battle, but duels were still done by swordfighting!.
Warp drive is completely logical for Klingons, they are a race who prove thier worth by hunting and conquering!. After enough time, they've learned how to hunt and conquer every species on their planet, so they have a need to reach other inhabited planets to find new game to hunt in order to have a proper challenge!. Warp drive is necessary to travel between star systems!.
Cloaking devices and phasers would come about by adapting their own philosophies to the tactics of their non-Klingon enemies!. If the enemy is not honorable enough to fight with blades, then they aren't honorable enough to deserve dying by a blade, yet they definitely deserve to die!. Thus phasers!. Cloaking devices just adapt their hunting techniques to the battlefield!. It's also possible cloaking devices were a technology acquired from a conquered people!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
