Question: Is there any anime fans out there in their twenties-thirties that can identify with me!?
Well I'm an almost 30, tall, athletic, mixed heritage guy (Mostly German and Spanish) who really likes anime!. I don’t live in my mom’s basement, I have a great job, and play guitar and sing in some bands for fun on the weekends!. What I find funny is that every time I start dating a new chick I'm always nervous to tell her about my love of anime!. I'm not ashamed or anything, it just seems like 99% of the people I meet are anime haters, especially women!. Anyway, I just wondered if anyone else out in Y!A land has had this problem!.

I've been into watching anime since I was a child and I don't find any reason why I should ever stop, in my twenties!. It's not something I would ever "hide" as I believe that anyone who has a problem with it has narrow ideas and limited imagination!. I've been looked down for sharing my passion, especially in my work, but I dont mind getting "omg ur such a kido" comments from people who are basically into reality crap shows!. :P Www@Enter-QA@Com
Well I am as old as you are, a female and I really like anime!. I don't think there's anything wrong with liking anime, you should be able to enjoy it at any age in my opinion!. If you date a girl and tell her what you like and she doesn't like it that just means she will never accept you for who you are, and it's just not worth it!. be yourself there's someone out there who will accept you for you!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
hmm, I usually give it off as a 'hidden hobby' rather than a 'guilty/geeky pleasure'!. I really don't think women have anything against anime (especially if you can get them to watch some of the more mature series with you)!. It's probably more that it seems 'a grown man is watching cartoons'!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
