Lunch boxes are collectable, but the main thing to remember about collectables is that, despite the value of any collectable listed in any current collector's guide, collectables are actually only worth the amount that you can get someone else to pay you for the item!. I'm sure a Pac-Man lunch box is an item which would appeal to those who were hooked on that silly game, or who remember the short lived cartoon fondly, or someone who collects lunch boxes!. I would urge you to not sell the item until you have at least done some research as to what its potential value might be!.

There are two ways you can check for a ball park estimate!. The easiest way is to check and see how well lunch boxes from the early eighties have been selling on Ebay!. If you can find records of a few transactions for the same Pac-Man lunch box, so much the better!. The advantage of Ebay sales records is they give an amount that was actually paid for something, rather than a price that is based on the assumption that relative values only go up over the years!. The other method is to check for the same lunch box in a series of book published for collectors which most libraries usually have (and usually have the most recent copies!. Go to a reference librarian and ask her or him to help you, and explain what you want to know; he, she, or they should be quite willing to use the resources in the library to help answer your question, if for no reason other than doing such tasks is part of the job!.

You aren't in the right frame of mind to sell something that is likely collectable to someone else, and chances are if the lunch box is potentially worth something like twenty dollars, you would let it go for two dollars and never realise that you might have been able to do better!. You may find, after a bit of research that what you have isn't potentially worth nearly what you might like, but the item may well go up in potential value in the next ten to twenty years!. You might want to hang onto what you have for at least a few years, before you decide to try to sell it!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

take it to get appraised, do not clean it nor wipe it out!. Because of the risk of further damage!. (leave it the way you found it) you never know you might get a good price!. You can find an appraisal agent in the phone book!. They can also tell you the best way to clean it or how to fix it!. Do you have anything else such as the thermos that goes with it, those things may get you a higher price!? Www@Enter-QA@Com

try e bay you can fount the prices their too good luck $$$$$Www@Enter-QA@Com

I don't think you would get more than 2 dollars for it!. Just ask you mom for $500 for gifts!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
