at first that is what he wanted to do because he was teased and treated badly because he was a half demon!.!.!.!.!.(thats why he has a soft spot to other half demons like jinenji and shiori that were treated badly) he is fine just the way he is but he needs to see hat for himself!.!.!.!.!.there are times he still does and there are times he doesn't want to still become a full demon (like when he was willing to become a human with kikyo before naraku led her to believe he betrayed her and she pinned him to a tree)Www@Enter-QA@Com
He wants to be a full demon so badly is because he doesn't want to get insulted and mocked by both human side and monster side anymore, he was harassed by the both side due to his mixture of blood (demon and human)!. As you can see, a full demon will be much powerful than the half one, for example, Sesshoumaru!. That's what make him wants to be a full monster!.
