Does anybody actually die in comics?!

Question: Does anybody actually die in comics!?
Its starting to get on my nerves!. Ok so Superman died but he came back cuz there is only one Superman!. But Hal Jordan, Barry Allen, Jason Todd (2nd Robin) and Spoiler!!! Did she had to come back!?! Can't they let one die every once in a while and stay dead!?!

And how long is Captain America going to stay dead!?! Probably have a big crossover and explain it was his evil twin from a parallel dimension who Fury exchanged at the last minute using a time machine in the year 3043!. And the part that drives me nuts is that it actually makes some sense!!Www@Enter-QA@Com

Actually I was reading in Wizard mag that they have no plans to bring Steve Rogers back anytime soon (although we know he will be back)!. People are really liking Bucky as the new Capt!. America!.

You are right, none of the major characters stay dead!. They had to bring Superman back!. No choice there!. But Barry, Hal, & Ollie could have stayed dead!. I like Wally, Kyle and Roy much better!. They are all way more inventive then their predecessors!. Www@Enter-QA@Com

I think during Crisis of Infinite Earth they killed everyone off!.!.!.!.just to bring them back again!.

When your comic is named after one of the characters, it's a bit hard to kill him off and still have a viable story to tell ;-)

I've always found the Superhero comics to be not much better than the soap operas!. Long, convuluted stories with far too many twists and turns for most folks to follow!. Characters get killed, resurrected, altered, change sides, get amnesia, find an evil twin!.!.!.!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Sometimes characters die, and stay dead, for example Charles Xavier in XMen:Age of Apocalypse!. However, you keep seeing the character is other versions of the series(Ultimate XMen, Astonishing XMen)!.

I would guess most fans would be happy if their favorite character returned!. It's also good for the plot because it's unexpected!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Ok, I'm not going to go into very much detail or get really worked up but, Henchmen!. Every henchman dies!. Ever!. They must get really good health plans or something cos they always suck A, and never actually get the hero, they aren't cost productive and are less cool than sidekicks, as soon as I make a cape for my villian suit, things are gonna be sooo much different!.!.!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

alot of people die in comics however it is people who are non important and when main people die they are either replaced or brught back to lifeWww@Enter-QA@Com

Gwen Stacey and uncle ben, are dead, as for other characters its up to the creators!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Doesn't to me!.!.!. Www@Enter-QA@Com

ummmm!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.good for you pal
and yes, people die in many, many comics ;)Www@Enter-QA@Com

The current storyline in Marvel with the secret Skrull invasion makes it easier to bring Steve Rogers back as Cap as it could be explained away that the Steve Rogers body that exists is in fact a Skrull!.

This will account for any superhero 'deaths' in the Marvel universe and allow all kinds of things to be done!. It has to be said that Quesada as Editor-in-Chief at Marvel has presided over some of the most amazing liberties and has successfully destroyed Marvel as a groundbreaking comics company by following a populist agenda!.

Cannot comment on DC, as they were never a company known for producing quality comics until the 1980's when Jim Shooter upset so many Marvel stalwart writers and artists that they left for DC in droves almost recreating the brand!.

As for the current trend for major story 'arcs' crossing over from book to book, such as the Civil War and the Skrull invasion this makes writing the stories to easy, prevents proper character development and destroys originality in comics far more than working on an original idea to bring back a deceased character!.

It also has the effect of covering up poor writers, and please don't get me started on the poor standard of the art being 'hidden' by computer generated effects!.

Okay, Marvel hasn't yet hit the depths of the 1990's when there product became so poor it was unreadable, but I think they are scraping the bottom of the barrel!.
