If you are looking for anime about "magic and school life", you had better check out Magikano!. It is pretty much the epitome of those to genres combined!.
However, I would also recommend Brigadoon, FullMetal Alchemist, and Black Cat!. They are action-oriented (like your above suggestions) with captivating storylines!.
