What would you choose!?
I wouldn't tell 'em to watch Grave of the Fireflies, because I wouldn't want to have to clean up after their depression motivated suicide!.
How about Azumanga Daioh!? It seems to be something that everybody likes!.!.!.and it isn't 8 years long!.
Maybe a Ghibli film, like Nausicaa or Totoro!?
