well the last episode of the anime ends without a conclusion to the story which after that u need to read the manga to see how it ends but according to "hellosoushi1234" in the magazine "anime insider" it says that they will be making a new season of inuyasha in 2009 (japan) meaning we should get it in 2010 maybe (US) i understand that that is a while away and if you don't want to wait you could always read the manga (ill leave the links) i am a very big inuyasha fan and am thrilled that they will continue the anime =)

(Part 1)" where A mysterious man (with a demonic arm) named Goryomaru has his child warriors fight demons and recover their corpses, which leads Inuyasha and his friends to investigate in hopes of finding the Fuyouseki!. Kagura continues her dangerous investigation of the true nature of the Infant, but ends up badly injured and goes to Sesshomaru, expecting to die near him!. Rin tries to pull her out of the water, but Sesshomaru must then pull them both out!.
Episode 167: "The Bond Between Them, Use the Sacred Jewel Shard! (Part 2)" where Naraku lures Inuyasha and the others into the stomach of a large stone demon!. He traps them there with the intent of collecting the Jewel Shard after they are dissolved by digestion!. InuYasha attaches the Jewel Shard to his sword!. Kagome helps him keep control of himself long enough to blast free of the demon!. The series concludes with everyone promising to pursue Naraku until he is destroyed and knowing that the way to accomplish this is to destroy the child that represents his heart!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

It ended with them going on their journey after getting out of the demon stomach!. They were saying no matter what they would find and destroy Naruku in the anime!. In the mange Inuyasha killed Naruku and 2 years after Kagome went back to her world she reunited with Inuyasha and they got married!. It was a quickie at the end of the mange!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
it ended Kagara helped the gang to kill a giant statue demon when they were in his stomach and inuyasha used the adaments barrage on naraku but failed cuz of his barriers!. they didnt get all the shards back Kohaku is still under naraku's control but inuyasha and kagome and a romantic moment in a tree branch and kikyou didnt die!. it didnt really end so you'll hav to read it!.
