I wouldn't say I'm "depressed" about it - but I kinda liked the idea of using less mainstream actors like they did with Scarecrow and Joker!. Depp is an excellent actor but too much hype around him playing the character could set people up for a disappointment if the script/story is bad - which is often the case by the 3rd installment of any movie-franchise!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
why be depressed, depp is reportedly being paid a record 58 million for playing jack sparrow in pirates of the carribbean 4!. and that's just up front, who knows how much he'll likely get with residuals and a share of the gross on ticket sales, etc!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
