The shinigami in Bleach are way cooler! The Death Note shinigami are pretty useless, even Ryuk!. They don't care if innocent people die!.
Edit: Okay, I know a Death God's duty is to kill people when it's time for them to die, but Ryuk didn't kill that many people!. He let a human do that for him! Doing a thing like that is unacceptable!Www@Enter-QA@Com

If we translate the word Shinigami, it'll be Death God right!? Their job is taken a person life right!?
So, I'd say Shinigami in Death Note is the real Shinigami to me personally!.
Shinigami from Bleach!.!.!.!. is a little confusing!. No wonder they translated it as 'Soul Reaper' and not 'Death God'!. At least that clear up their job!. They didn't really killed people!. They save people!. Weird huh!?
There's no point of comparing them because their main purpose/job is different!. People might feared Shinigami from Death Note because they killed life, while people might liked Shinigami from Bleach because they saved life!.

I like both, but I'm gonna have to go with Deathnote Shinigami!. For example Ryuk is exactly how I'd imagine a shinigami to be!.!.!. but Ichigo!.!. he's too caring!.

I'd say Death Note Shinigami!. I think the manga/anime did a good job of portraying what a shinigami would look like, take Ryuk for example!. He's all dark and sullen (and has a love for apples :3)Www@Enter-QA@Com
