Why does anime always has a weird end?!

Question: Why does anime always has a weird end!?
why is it that the end the main characher never achieve his original goal!.
let's take one piece for example
luffy wants to be pirate king
but in the end they will say tht he is already a pirate king but never finish the thing!.
i mean they just leave the anime incomplete
i know tht one piece is still onging but i am quite sure that's wht's gonna happen!.

and at the end they'll just say the he is pirate king y don;t have a proper ending!?
in eyeshield too they never went to the national last game was between ojoh and deimon!.!.
i mean wtf man

i can understand if u guys kinda don't get the question but for the one's who understands this, please leave ur commentsWww@Enter-QA@Com

I get what your saying and i felt the same way a while back, but its mainly because the manga is still going and its not over yet!. Look at it this way, if the story's over, then its done and finished, right!? But if its left open in the end then it can go on forever(by imagination, i mean)!. also, the option of continuing it is much more available!. But their are plenty of conclusive animes out there like death note and cowboy bebop for example!. Just keep an open mind and you'll get used to it!.
Edit: I forgot to mention that they also end animes early due to loss of viewers(like with inuyasha, i really wish they finished that anime better!.)Www@Enter-QA@Com

Some production companies (Gainax comes to mind) - I really can't remembet the worst offender's name - are known for really cr^ppy endings!. The series is fantastic, the last episode - exafcly!. WTF was that!? Huh!?

The reasons - they just don't know where to go with it!. What was the series - set in Earths future, giant robots stored in underground bunkers fight it out on the surface!? Really cool Anime!. The final episode has nothing to do with the series at all!.

Or - The manga was not complete at the time of production!.

Or - they got tired of the series and moved on!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

To leave it open for possability of another series, as the poster above said alot of the time the anime finishes and the manga is still onging!. so when this is happening there is still always a possability of another series, so if they conclude it theres no logical way to continue on if they start it up again!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

It's not that they have weird endings, it's that they have different endings!.

Americans tend to write things from the winner's perspective!. However, the Japanese traditionally will write things from the losers perspective!. This sometimes still reflects in modern anime, where the lead guy doesn't get the girl of his dreams or the villain might end up winning the battle (though I must admit, I've only seen one or two of those!.!.!.)!.

They also leave more open endings and don't always wrap up every last unanswered question!. In an American cartoon or movie, if they don't wrap everything up by the end, they tend to tack on this extra dialogue between the main characters that explains everything in unnecessarily in-depth detail!. They don't have that very often in Japanese shows and movies!. Instead, they hint at things or make a vague ending or don't bother explaining an important aspect of the story!. I honestly think that it makes things more interesting and makes you think more about what you just saw!. For a good example on this, watch the movie Moon Child or the anime Haibane Renmei!. They both have open endings and Haibane Renmei never explains anything about "the day of flight" or the other side of the wall or the Renmei or anything, but that's really what makes them both amazing!.

But basically, it's just a different culture!. I bet the Japanese think our films/cartoons/shows are pretty odd, too!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
