I feel stupid asking this, but why did Kakashi's father kill his parents!? It WAS him that killed them, right!? I'm not mistaking that!? We're out of Sasori's little sector in the anime, but I still don't understand!.!.!.

It was War!. A group kills another group regardless of who they are if they are enemies!. It's just so happen that Konoha and the Sand Village aren't allies at that time!.
