I loved Death Note!.
I really liked Full Metal Alchemist and Elfen Lied too!. Air (the most confusing anime ever made) was okay too but not great!.
Please don't mention naruto, bleach, inuyasha, black lagoon, code geass (i'm watching this), claymore and dbz!. it also has to be english dubbed!. THANKS!!!Www@Enter-QA@Com

Well, I'd recommend Gravitation then!. However, I warn you now, it contains yaoi (boy on boy love), though nothing really hardcore!.
I'd also recommend Fruits Basket and CardCaptor Sakura (CCS)!.
I absolutely MUST recommend DN Angel! Now, this one's a very moving anime!. I must admit, I was crying at the end, it was so moving!. But I'm not telling you if it ends bad and made me cry or if it ended so happily that I was moved to tears! ^_~

There are both american and english versions of it!.
