Sakaki-san and Yomi-san?!
Question: Sakaki-san and Yomi-san!?
OK, this is an off-the-wall question, but the characters in Azumanga Daioh seem a bit out of scale!. We know that Sakaki is about 5'9-1/2" (174cm)!.!.!.and she towers over the other girls, a repeated tag line throughout the series!. 2nd tallest is Yomi, at 5'4"!.!.!.and she seems much taller than the rest of the female characters!. We also know that Kagura, Osaka, and Tomo are 5'2" or less!.!.!.and that Chiyo is 4'4"!. Now, given all of that!.!.!.how come they draw Sakaki and Yomi as so much taller than the other girls!. BTW, the average Japanese woman is 5'2"!.also, we can see that Sakaki and Yomi are very well endowed (ahem) compared to the average Japanese woman!. So, what is going one here!.!.!.dimension-wise!? generally spealing, legs are about half a person's height; in manga, they can get upwards of 60%!.
