Why are men and boys so feminine in anime?!

Question: Why are men and boys so feminine in anime!?
Answers:
hey listen kid, sometimes the world is not superficial enough to only think guys with all the muscles are hot!.I'm a guy but I happen to not be the type who engages in rough physical contact but that does not make me feminine!.Okay, yes it does!.But I think feminine guys appeals to the female anime audience but so does strong guys!.As long as you have a good face, nobody cares whether you are bulky or skinny!.And besides what's wrong with being feminine,I bet most of your bosses are feminine guys who make a lot of money!.If you watch shounen, then you will be least likely to come across one!.
And by feminine, you do mean straight ones right!?
You know I'm right so why the thumbs down!?Www@Enter-QA@Com

This is coming from a die-hard anime fan (that being me)!. The art in most anime is drawn to be a mix of former Japan and modern Japan!. If you briefly study Japanese history you'll see that the clothes worn by the Japanese men and the length of their hair also appeared feminine!. Great warriors wore large robes symbolizing their accomplishments and they let their hair grow out as some odd honor symbol!. So these guys looking feminine is linked back to the Japanese history of some form honor and strength!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Well feminine males are often used for love based anime!. Because hey who wouldn't fall for a slender good looking guy who seems to have everything going for him!. He's got the smooth skin, pretty eyes, and he seems more sensitive than the 'bad boys' (something that girls really love XD)!. Girls mostly go for the pretty guys because they would think that with both of them being pretty they would be the ULTIMATE COUPLE! Well fangirls do at least!. A young feminine child is also easier to portray as innocent than a young rough looking child!.

Another reason anime's have feminine males is because if its a yaoi, the more girly male is most likely going to be the uke (or bottom)!. You see this in yaoi's like Level C, Gravitation, Boku no Pico, Jazz (a manga) and many others!.

It depends on the type of anime you're watching!.

The softer, more feminine "pretty-boy" character design is often used in girls' romance titles, or at least to appeal to girls in general!.

However, if you watch the titles aimed at boys, things are a bit different!.!.!. For instance, I don't think anyone would think any of the male characters from Dragonball/Z/GT/etc were feminine - not even Vegeta in his stylish pink Izod shirt!.!.!.

And if you can find some old 'Fist of the North Star' episodes/movies, that show practically defined the archetypical ridiculously tough, bad-a** male anime character who could bite a dozen Chuck Norrises in half and not even notice!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

b/c its hot, jk, the only resaon u see it in shojo manga is b/c us girls don't like u big muscle 4 brains dopes!. if u'r watching a shonen anime have u ever noticed that those "feminine" guys tend 2 be smarter, faster, powerfuler(sometimes), and get all the babes!? besides what's wrong w/feminine guys (the straight one's of course) !? personally i think anime would be rather boring if all the guys were only the big muscled kind!.

btw the way i absolutly hate shojo manga/animeWww@Enter-QA@Com

Because fans like it!. I personally prefer animes with bishounens ("beautiful boys")!. In japanese culture is common, considering beautiful as feminine!. When you look at most japan male actors (i mean living actors, not from anime), their hair is longer, their skin is smooth!.!.!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
