I would recommend Rurouni Kenshin and Samurai Champloo for sword-fighting anime!.
Both set in feudal Japan!. Rurouni Kenshin is about a manslayer from the days of the revolution trying to live his life as peacefully as he can but keeps getting caught up in power struggles!.
Samurai Champloo is a!.!.!.!.unique twist on the old samurai shows!. Mostly follows this young girl named Fu who recruits 2 wayward, rogue samurai to help her find someone!. Very interesting characters and plot :)
Blood + is good for sword fighting AND is similar (I believe) to DMC!.
It has creatures that look basically like a cross of demon and vampire and Saya is the only girl who can defeat them!. I'm really bad at descriptions but this is a REALLY great anime :)
Vampire Hunter D and Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust are very similar to Hellsing!. Very violent, lots of vampires, and lots of action :) 'Nuf said!.
