Nick fury is african american in the alternate universe known as the "Ultimate universe", which allowed marvel to relaunch their titles with a much harder edge than they could in the regular universe!. Its' a relaunch without relaunching their whole universe!. In the regular universe nick fury is just as white as he ever was!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Jameson from spiderman I Think they were originally drawn to be african american but during the time The concept art and the final drawing they probably decided to make them white I asked the same question to a Friend in the comic book industry about a year ago He said it was mainly do to the target audience being predominantly white!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
In the Ultimate Universe!. The Black Fury also seems to have a larger following then the white Fury!. (Possibly due to his appearance being based after the actor Samuel L!. Jackson!. Who plays Fury in Iron Man and is bound to play him again in the 2010 Avengers!.)Www@Enter-QA@Com
