Question: What does cannon mean!?
I hear this term in fanfiction around anime and stuff and I've never really understood the meaning and I was wondering if anyone could answer and explain,please, very much appreciated =DWww@Enter-QA@Com

Well "cannon" means the thing you shoot cannon balls out of, but "canon" refers to if a piece of media belongs to the the main media's storyline!. For example, for Naruto, the only things that are canon are the anime and manga since these two medias depict the main and real storyline!. Videogames and movies are not canon in Naruto since they do not advance or belong to the main story in any way!. If you see the word around fanfiction, most likely they are saying the stories are not canon and are not true to the real storyline of the anime/manga!. Www@Enter-QA@Com
