Need Help Naming A Mech Anime...?!
Question: Need Help Naming A Mech Anime!.!.!.!?
Hey all,
Recently I've been getting back into series of Anime shows which I never completed for various reasons!. I've been doing well so far and have finished off quite a few Anime shows!.
Now here's the problem, I have been trying desperately to remember the name of one particular Anime!. It's really been bothering me, and I'm hoping a few of you guys could help me out!. I'll give a few details of what I remember!.
*This takes place in the future
A young college student is working on a degree in science in a world at war with an alien threat!. He has a girlfriend who is working and studying at an offsite research facility!.
One day he joins her and the supervising professor in what is revealed to be a study on what appears to be a large alien enemy they have been piecing back together!. Something goes wrong, and the enormous alien ends up breaking free of its restraints and killing the professor and the main character's girlfriend by accident, while leaving the main character badly wounded!.
The main character wakes up in a hospital room with a window all bandaged up!. Soon after, the city he is in is attacked by one of the gigantic aliens!. As a new allied type of humanoid robot which can convert into a fighter jet appears, he is in awe of it and wants to get back at the giant alien from the research facility which he blames for his girlfriend's death by somehow getting hold of one of these machines!.
Shortly thereafter, a strange man looking in his 30s or so with a tomato as his object of focus appears!. He makes a deal with the main character to get him a new life in the military so he can pilot one of the machines!.
The story goes on from there with the main character leaving the hospital with a scar on his face over his eye, and a funky hair do with a grey streak in the front!.
