Since you are in the Anime Section I would strongly recommend Cowboy Bebop!. One of the best Anime ever made!.
I don't know if it qualifies as "classic" or not, but ALIENS (the second Alien movie) is by far the best of the series!.
Logans Run is good!. The TV Mini-Series of THE STAND was excellent!. The Sci Fi Channel's Mini Series of DUNE was very very good too!.!.!.I'm taking the one with William Hurt, Alec Newman, and Saskia Reeves from 2000 NOT the older movie with Patrick Stewart!.
Blade Runner has already been mentioned!.
Babylon 5 was one of the best written things ever on television, but that was TV series with an overarching story arc, so without the back story you won't get the full impact of the individual episodes (even the movies)!.

Well that depends on what you mean by classic!. I like Spriggan, Escaflowne, Akira!. And that's just in the anime section!. If you like martial arts then I'd go with some Tony Jaa like The Protector!. AVP was good!. But I didn't like the sequel!. Umm!.!.!. Hope that helps!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
