i guess there are people who like anime but keep it a secret cause maybe, they may be thought to be childish or something!. anyway, being a fan of anime isn't really a bad thing nor does it make you childish in fact, animes are really good to watch!. it plainly just depends on people on the impression they want to make in public-if they want to be known as an anime lover- so they'll be one-they also consider the consequences of their appearance and i think in that step, they consider of keeping their being a fan a secret!. LOL, Ot so much fun to watch superficial people suffer because of the standards they've set on others!. I don't need to worry about your image problems, in my school almost everyone watches/reads manga and anime!. And even in my school before that where it wasn't the 'cool' thing to do I was still pretty popular with my good grades and manga reading hobby (that everyone knew about)!.
Honestly if you that worried about your image stop watching anime, as a matter of fact stop doing anything you like, cause thats what most conformists will wind up having to do anyway!.

Since when is having a broad genre of interests considered "not cool"!? By that standard, you can't like anime and like working on cars too!? Or you can't like football and like reading!?
It has nothing to do with it being "nerdy" or "uncool"!. What it boils down to, is that there are things that some people just like!. Anyone that bashes on that as being lame, just hasn't taken the time to find out what that subject is actually about!. Who the hell can say that Afro Samurai is nerdy!? If you're really concerned about becoming not cool because of it, all you have to do is find a way to referance it to "cool" subjects when you're confronted (ex: Vash the stampede is the f**king dirty harry of anime)!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

hahahah yeah I am totally being honest!.!.!.i am a girl and it is totally a secret between me and my friend that we actually read manga and watch anime!. And yeah i totally keep it a secret because other people would think it is stupid and it would be a sort of social suicide!. and all these other people are just idiots because it is just a preference!.
