ummm, Akatsuki kills him!. and an old lady brings him back to life!. but since she did that, she dies!. you can read it on naruto manga chaper: 280Www@Enter-QA@Com
Gaara fights Deidara in, i think, the 3-6th episode of Naruto Shuppuden!. He is taken to the rest of the Akatsuki, unconsious, and has his life sucked out of him!. Thankfully he is later revived by Grandma Chiyo (who gives up her own life)!.
