Well I don't really think it was a good idea to kill him off but in a way they had to!. I would think the reason would be because both Light and L or both equally matched in smarts and stargey,so they would be just fighting back and forth canceling each others plans out so the seirs would just continue so I think at one point they needed to give Light the upper hand and kill L off,but later on Light dies anyway because he under estimated near!. As for the time skip I think it would have cool to show it but that would probably take a while to show and almost be a little pointless to whats really going,on!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
