From what I understand, Akira Toriyama wished to end Dragonball Z with the Freiza Saga, when Goku became a Super Saiyan & defeated Freiza!. However, DBZ became a huge cash cow, & Toriyama was asked to continue the story!. So, he wrote the Cell Saga, again hoping to bring about the end of the series with Goku's death & Gohan's ascension to power as the most powerful warrior in history, when he became a Super Saiyan 2!. Unfortunately for Toriyama, he was still too good at what he does, & was pressured to write even more DBZ!. So, he decided to write the Majin Buu Saga as a joke at first!. That's why he used the names Bibidi, Babidi, & Buu!. Still, Toriyama couldn't manage to write something fans couldn't enjoy, so he ended the series with the finale when Goku went off to train Uub!. Even still, the producers wanted more of the money that came from Dragonball mania!. When Toriyama wouldn't write for a new series, they made another one anyway, in the form of Dragonball GT!. DBZ got kind of repetitive and was basically the same routine each arc!. I admit, it was fun to watch but the story just wasn't very deep or complex enough to keep people watching!. However, I have heard that there will be a brand new movie coming out soon!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
The series is okay, but many hardcore fanboys do not consider DB a classic!. Mostly, DB ended for lack of really developing new storylines!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
