It's because while they were cleaning/restoring it, the person accidently removed the eyebrows and eyelashes

now ive got an interesting answer about this! it said that mona lisa is really the painter's special someone! but i think that that lady is married already!. knowing that if he finished the masterpiece, people would buy it or put it on a museum, thus he could not see it!. so he intentionally left the eyebrows undone so as to have a reason to still look up at the painting!.!.!.!. until he died, he wasn't able to finish it!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
If I remember correctly, when i took an art class in college, my prof told me during that time, it was consider attractive and appealing that women shave their eyebrows!. I guess Leonardo find that beautiful!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
