Seeing as everyone has said subbed this may be pointless BUT i prefer dubbed animes because i dont speak any other language than English so it's easier and i hate having to read what they are saying which loses my concentration on the acutal show!.
also in my opinion i find alot of the japanese voice actors, especially girl characters to be annoying and they all sound so young!. And sometimes it's hard to tell if a character is a boy or girl because of the voice!.
Anyways watch episode one in both sub and dub and choose the one you like most to continue with!.

Neither is "better"!. I don't want this to be a SUB vs DUB war, so I'll stick with Fruits Basket in general!.
Fruits Basket sub:
I've seen it all in this, and I enjoyed it!. Tohru Honda speaks in really formal Japanese, and that's hard to translate into English!. also, Kyo's voice is much more natural, not as forced as the English version!.
Fruits Basket dub:
I watched it all in this too, because Tohru Honda's voice is done incredibly well considering she's supposed to be really formal!. I didn't know you could speak so formally and naturally in English!. Her voice actress pulled it off quite well!. also, Shigure does a little song near the beginning of the series, and it was hilarious in English!. I really loved Rit-Chan-San's voice in English, and Rit-Chan's-San's mother, I have a little cousin that's 3 and LOVES every scene with them and busts up laughing on the floor when they're freaking out on screen!. Down sides, Yuki sounds like a pedo hahaha!. But I thought that made it hilarious!.
All in all, I ended up enjoying the dub more! That's REALLY rare for me, I'm usually all for SUBs!. So, it's up to you really!. A lot of people have blind faith in Japanese voices, and go into watching the DUB already hating it!. I usually listen to a little of the DUB with no preconceived opinions!. Like, in My HiME, I LOVE Mai's English voice!. But the rest of the cast isn't very good, so I go back and watch parts with Mai in English every once in a while!. Good luck!Www@Enter-QA@Com

I don't think either of the dubs really did justice to Kyo actually!. or Yuki for that matter, because he sounds waaaay too quiet in English and he's done by a middle aged woman in the Japanese!. As for all the other actors, the characters are better in the Japanese!. ((copy and paste this a million times if you think Laura Bailey is a freaky [either good or bad] VA!))

I like the sub better actually!. The dub is okay but its just not how I pictures the voices!.But you can watch whatever one you want!. They are all going to be the same exact episodes,only with different voices!
