Death Note and Code Geass!
Question: Death Note and Code Geass
I have seen the first season of Code Geass and finished Death Note!. My question is: Why do people keep comparing the two series and say that they are IDENTICAL to each other!?! They barely have any similarities! They are completely in a different category from each other!. What do you think of this!?

Do not say, "Light and Lelouch originally have good intentions but they risk innocent lives!." (For Code Geass: Its called war, so basically innocents will be at risks!. Think of Gundam!) also don't say, "They both gained a supernatural power and now using it to achieve their goal; They fight for what they believe in!." That pretty much identifies almost half of all action anime characters right there such as Ichigo from Bleach!. The two protagonists are barely alike!. Light is insane and evil, while Lelouch is more kind hearted, cares about the people around him, and actually has a motive behind what's he's doing: getting revenge and making a better life for his sister!. What's Light's motive is, boredom!.!.!.to become god!? Plus the series portrays Light as an evil villain, while Lelouch is more of a "good guy" who struggles between right and wrong, at least realizes his mistakes sometimes, and fights hard to make a better life for Nunally, his friends, and to avenge his mother's death even though he can sometimes drift towards the "bad" side, which is normal since many characters such as Heero Yui from Gundam Wing and many other characters does as well!. The characters, plot, storyline, and mood/tone of the series is different, so why are they so alike!?
What do you make of this!? Am I right ot wrong!? Please voice your opinion on this!. Please!

I definitely agree with you~ the similarities between Light and Lelouche may seem apparent at first, but as the series goes on they become less and less like each other!. also, I never realized how gaining a supernatural power can be attributed to any series like that~ you're definitely right!. In my opinion, Monster is more similar to Death Note than Code Geass is~Www@Enter-QA@Com
Ahh yeah I agree to your first statement that they are not identical!. But i do agree they are similar in a few but most obviously they are both anime!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
