Question: How do I convince my mom anime isn't weird!?
ok, My mom believes that adults liking 'cartoons' is strange!. that anime is childish and satanic, and that being different is weird!. (you know, the twenty year olds cosplaying!?) how do I convince my mom that these things aren't true!?Www@Enter-QA@Com

anime is something you watch when nothing good is on tv and its not a waste of time because there are all different types of anime!.To convince your mom you should make her watch an anime with you that she will enjoy ^_^ hope i helped

Well, fist off with the anime is 'childish and satanic', not all anime are for kids, ex: hentai, yaoi, yuri!. And while yes, there are some anime that some people would reffer to as 'satanic', not ALL anime is!.
To try and convince her, I would give her some examples of things in anime you watch that aren't childish, etc!. also, remind her that there ARE other anime than Pokemon!. That's what most parents think of when they hear anime!. also, if she's willing, sit down with her and show her a few clips that you think would convince her!. (I'm not saying show her porn or anything, just something that isn't necessarily for kids)
As for twenty-year olds cosplaying!. So what!? I've seen older cosplayers at cons! It's just for fun, it's not like cosplays a religion!.

If something is putting you in immediate physical danger or taking up all your time to the point where your professional or personal life suffers or making you go broke then its not normal!. So unless your spending all your time & money on anime then you should be normal

You just reminder that you are an adult and you can watch what you like!. You don't have to be rude about it!. Plus, you don't even have to let her know you watch them anymore!. As for Cos playing, nothing wrong with that!. So many people are doing it now, it's not uncommon!. Another thing you can try is to show her what you find so great about anime and Cos playing!. Take her to a convention and show her why you like this!. She is probably not going to want to do this since it sounds like she doesn't like cartoons herself!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
You could try introducing her to some anime or directing her to some information about anime (like an online encyclopedia article)!. Once she gets it into her head that most anime is written for adults, she might be a little more accepting!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
