Answers:
No, not at all!. After the failures that were Batman Forever and Batman & Robin they decided to completely restart the Batman movie franchise!. The only relation Batman Begins and The Dark Knight have to the Burton and Schumacher's films is the title character!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

The Dark Knight is the sequel to Batman Begins!. Batman Begins was the relaunch of the franchise for a new generation of audiences!. It a fresh new look at the beginnings of Batman!. Since its hard to try to just make a sequel from the original film from almost 20 years ago and expect new kids that have yet to be introduced to the almost 70 years of Batman history the producers decided to retell the story from the beginning!.

P!.S!. They're at work on a sequel to Dark Knight!. So far the top rumors include villians such as Penguin, Riddler, and Catwoman!.

Personally, I think a mob war between The Penguin and Ventrilliquist/Scarface would make a great film after the arrest of all those mob bosses!. Throw in Catwoman trying to protect her neck of the woods and not caring about the rest of the city and The Batman would have a heck of a time trying to keep the bloodshed down to a minimum!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Its a prequel ONLY in the fact that it is set before the tim burton films but is totally unrelated in any of the story lines etc!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Not at all!. It's a new franchise entirely!. It's like saying that TDK is a prequel to the old Batman tv show!.

Oh sure: thumbs down everyone because you disagree!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
