Question: I want lots of answers! :) What got you into anime/manga!?
My story: well!.!.!.I was in the library!. I was 7-8 years old!. I was with my mom looking at movies to see, one especially caught my attention because of the pretty art, Ranma 1/2!. My first anime, it was kind of confusing and!.!.!.pervy, but hey!. Later I discovered that not only it was a video but a book too! I was attracted because of the art mainly!. Then I read inuyasha! My 2nd manga! At first I didn't like anyone reading it!.!.!.mostly because I thought that nobody else knew about it and it was only the authors and my secret!. Lol, I was still a kid!. Then I read other books from a different authors! But anyways~

Well, I was introduced to anime the typical, normal way: televison!. I started with the everyday stuff: Pokemon, Sailor Moon, Dragon Ball series, Digimon, the works!. Of course, back then, I had no idea what anime was, or that my favorite shows were animes!. I didn't truly get involved with anime until I was 11!. Funny thing is, my MOM did it!. Yep!. One day, when she came home from the library she had brought me an InuYasha DVD, thinking that I would find it interesting; she thought it was a cartoon movie for kids!. At first, I didn't really like it, seeing as that anime was some what "rejected" from the school I went to; if you watched anime, you were a freak!. But internally, I had loved it so much I asked my mom to borrow more DVDs!. After only 3 weeks, I insanely addicted!. I actually experienced withdrawal symptoms when I couldn't watch it, like a crack addict with his crack!. It took a few months to get over the initial shock of realizing that I was becoming absessed with anime, but it took a whole year or two to finally come out into the open with it!.
I kinda felt like it was a dirty little secret no one was to find out, considering that my school was anti-anime; my brother knew, and whenever I passed him in the hallways, he'd threaten to tell all his friends about me (which I now know would have only quickened their liking to me, seeing as they all liked anime, too [excluding my brother])!.
Eventually, I got him into anime, too, and as it turns out, he gets along with his friends better than ever - although he still denies knowing anything about anime at all in public - and sometimes I wonder if he's more hunp up on it than me!. But I figure not, because after my first few obsessive months, I discovered manga, and it only strengthened my liking towards anime!. My brother hates manga, says that they only spoil the anime, but occasionally I catch him reading my manga!.

I had been watching Sailor Moon for years without knowing that it was Japanese!. I hadn't even heard the term "anime" before!. Then in 8th grade, the high school counselors came to help us decide what to take in our freshman year!. On a dare, I decided to take Japanese language classes!. I've always been fascinated by foreign languages and I like a good challenge, so Japanese seemed like the natural choice!. When I told one of my friends that I was studying Japanese, she started talking about anime and pointed me towards Adult Swim, where I promptly got hooked on Gundam Wing!. The end!. As far as i remember,ever since i was a kid, im already into sentai (japanese version of power rangers)!. Then as time goes on, being an ordinary TV kid, the TV program changes from sentais to animes!.!.!.!.
Though I cant remember the first anime that i watched, but i know that ive been watching it ever since im in like grade 1!.!.!.i think!.!.

Sailor moon was my first anime!. I thought it was so cool and then I started looking online for info about it and that lead to other animes and finding out that the Sailor Moon I loved so much was nothing like the original, which got me wanting to see the original!. Which I eventually did!. That's it!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
I was searching around the internet over the winter holidays and my older brother just happened to see me bored out of my wits end!. He said that Bleach rocked, and he forced me to watch the first episode!. Then, I had to pay him!.!.!. wahhh!.!.!.!. but then I remembered youtube!. I read something on the net about Death Note, tried it, and that was me hooked on DN for life and made me try other animes and mangas!. After DN came Bleach!.!.see I started off with the best then the 2nd best so now I'm completely hooked!Www@Enter-QA@Com

Detective Conan by Aoyama Gosho was my first comic!. Its from when I'm Grade 3!. All this murdering stuff somehow attracted me although I don't like horror!. Weird huh!?Www@Enter-QA@Com

Then in 8th grade I got fed up!. I wanted to know wtf was going on!. I wanted to watch anime!. So, I was flipping through the channels one day, and happened to land upon Fruits Basket!. I watched it, and my inner anime fangirl was released!. I watch the whole series and borrowed manga from my friend!. Then my friend suggested Death Note!. My fav anime OF ALL TiME!.
That was it!. I watched Death Note and got OBSESSED!! EVERYTHiNG I would compare to anime's I watched!. I joined clubs, bought manga etcetc!.

i loved anime ever since i was a young girl!.!.!.!.around 6 or 7 i think, but i really got into it when i was in 4th grade,8yrs old!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.at that time my favorite anime was hunterXhunter!.!.!.i was awed by killua's cuteness!.!.!.!.until now, it's still my no!.1 favorite anime!.!!! and killua is still my no!.1 favorite anime character!.!.!.!.although, at that time!.!.!.i wasn't aware that i had become an otaku!.!.!.!.!.i only realized it when i was in 1st yr highschool!.!.!.i joined a forum and i read a thread about how will you prove that you are a certified otaku!.!.!.after i read the posts of some forumers!.!.!.!.poof!!! i could actually relate to how they described themselves as otakus!!!!Www@Enter-QA@Com
Since i was a little kid, when i was old enough to read, me and my sister were always bought by my mother some comics!. We had every volume of that comics!. It has great drawings, that is the first thing that attracted me!.

Well here is my story :
It was a sunny and hot day of January :)) and i was watching TV on the program that i was watching came comercials and I got pissed and changed the program and accidentaly i managed to get to a program that was airing a episode of DBZ and i imediately became found of anime and i started watching more on Tv then i searched for them on the internet and here I am today a anime junkie :)) :P
I hope you liked the story of my anime life because in the other life of mine im an FBI CIA and DA officer :P :)) But that life is top secret and i will not tell you anything about it :P
