im mean there isent anything wrong with it, it actually opens doors 2 new things! now im really into japanese culture, especially the language!. and im learning japanese, and im so intersted in other cultures aswell, it shows me that there are other ppl in the world different than me, all thanx 2 anime!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Yeah, I'm also confused by people's hatred of anime!. What it comes down to is that anime is just a high tech version of cartoons, that act as a gateway to another culture!. If people don't like anime, than that's fine, don't watch it!. Still there's no valid reason to hate it!. Usually when asked this question the general response is "because anime's stupid" but that's only your opinion!. Even if everyone agreed with that opinion does that validate hatred!. For most anime fans the whole genre is a hobby, something to be enjoyable and entertaining!. For everyone else who is completely opposed to it they probably either didn't understand it or never even gave it a fair chance!. Even people who aren't particularly anime aficionados can admit to having liked at least one series!. This hatred comes from sheer misjudgment and misunderstanding!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
Simple, some people are stubborn and think watching anime is sissy-ish!. I can't blame them, how many people do you know that watch animes their faces just really look like they got ran over by a truck because of too much television/ computer!? Teens see these people and they feel digusted by it!. Parents don't want their kids to sit and watch anime all day to become a Burger King!. Politicians fear Japanese spreading their viewpoint as the best in the world since all animes are made by Japanese and spread their ideals!.
Some simple people like us just watch it for the love of the story and sometimes animation can depict stuff that you really can't show or improve with live-action!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Agreed with Keridas!.!.!. Everyone is entitled for their own opinion!. if they hate it then why should we forced them!? It'd make them despise it even more!.!.!. just let them be what they want!. If someday they found anime is interesting just say Hurayy and welcome them as your special guest, introduce them to other anime!. If they're not then why bother forcing them to like it!? Sorry if I'm being offended to anime fan but anime ISN'T THE BEST thing in the world today!. I don'y understand that either!. I think it's the most creative, exciting and imaginative animation w/ interesting stories!.
American cartoons tend to be humorous and not serious like Simpsons, Looney Tunes etc!.!.which I like as well!.

I think it may have to do with how popular it is!.
Some people like to stand from the crowd, and choose to appreciate something else; like western cartoons!.

I used to watch anime when I was little (Salior Moon, Poke`mon)!. Then I stoped!. Now I like it again!. (Thanks to Death Note)
I think it's because it is a cartoon, some people think its for kids!. High squeeky voices also turn poeple off!.

I think its the horrible english dubbing, the Japanese voices are better!. also, its probably the facial expressions and gestures the characters make!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
