manga is the one you read like comics while anime is watched either on tv or released in vcd/dvd!.
most anime are based on a manga series and the storyline is usually changed but somehow tries to stay with the essence of the original story!.
i prefer manga when it comes to the story but if you prefer seeing the characters in motion and in color then anime is for you!. =)

Anime is generally the TV version of a series; some remain very loyal to the manga, and by the end of the series, has explained the main points, but has had random fun episodes that give no addition to the plot, ie, fillers!.
Manga, in my opinion anyway, is much better!. Manga is the book form (or comic book, if you will) version of the series; the manga rarely has fillers, and usually doesn't include things that aren't absolutely crucial to the plot, and often runs alot faster than the anime; one manga volume can generally amount from 3 to 5 episodes of the anime!. Fillers for anime are often created so that the anime does not catch up to the manga!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
