Place yourself in the situation!. Assume you love someone more than yourself, & you realize there's only time for someone else to save you or them!. Now, imagine that you are saved instead of the person you love, when you would rather they lived & you died!. Now, maybe you can understand the feelings!. I think you have to have been in love before to know how that might feel, because then you really would rather give your own life than know the person you love died so you could live!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
The above answer is pretty good!. In a nutshell, he is driven to madness by the death of his lover!. They should of saved her and not him!. His face burning didn't help and the joker pulled the strings a little bit to push him further into his madness!.
