New comic book reader?!
Question: New comic book reader!?
im pretty new to comics and ive bought a few different kinds like ultimate spiderman and i bought a book of old fantastic four comics!.!. i want to start somthing like batman or xmen or green lanturn but idk where to start!.!. i dont mind jumping into a story but i would like to be able to understand whats going on!.!.!. i know a lot about superheros and such but just not like keeping up with a comic series!.!. what are good comics that are current and fun to read!? like where can i start with green lanturn or batman or xmen!? thanks in advanceWww@Enter-QA@Com

Hey!. The other guy that answered gave you some really good Green Lantern books!. But, if you are looking to jump right in to present comics, then you've got pretty good timing!. JLA just started a new run which has good writing and art, JSA is probably the best written and drawn comic DC has on the market at the moment!. Both of those don't have a whole lot of tie-ins (if you don't know, a tie-in is where you have to buy other comics that relate to the one you are already reading) at the moment!. Batman has a few titles out that are pretty good!. Green Lantern is good, but it is kinda hard to jump into the middle of that right now, you would have a lot of history to buy up and the GL Corps is actually better!. I don't read a whole lot of Marvel comics, but that is only a personal choice and I don't want my reasons behind it to influence you!. But, my buddies say that almost all of the X titles are good right now without a whole lot of tie-ins/historical buying!. I'm a fan of the Ultimate titles!. They are good!. Another really good choice is Captain America!. They are getting ready to start something big with him!.

Green Lantern!. Try reading the following trade paperbacks: Emerald Twilight, Zero Hour, Final Night, Green Lantern: Rebirth to get you up to date on Hal Jordan's story!.
