It all depends on the type you like!. If you enjoy romance, i reccomend:Suzuka (really good)Itazura Na Kiss (not finished)Strawberry Panic (have to admit not bad)Romeo X Juliet (It's a nice spin on the original Romeo and Juliet)Over Drive (however not a huge romance, it's more about a kid and his bicycle dreams)School Days (Very weird ending)Aizu Pure (Only 6 episodes, but each are pretty long compared to others)
If you like Comedy and all around fun:GTO (Great Teacher Onizuka; best show ever)Others above have comedy alsoHowever, I seem to only watch the romance ones, but have stumbled across other great anime!.
Phoenix (very good, shows buddhist teachings and how life is cyclical)Black Jack ( About the best Doctor in the world without a liscence and cures patients for huge loads of money)
