Why did they call that new batman movie "the dark knight"?!

There are many Batman Comics out there, The original Batman appearance was in Detective comics #27!. Since than he has had many of his own comics each with a different title!.

One of those comics was called Batman:The Dark Knight!. Hence the movie title: "The Dark Knight"Www@Enter-QA@Com
