You mean content wise!? I've been watching anime since I was 5 (my older brother watched anime and I was drawn in at the same time) and I'm a student a good university!. Personally, I see anime as just another genre of shows to watch!. I enjoy the type of humor and the plots the shows encompass which is why I prefer watching anime!. If we're not talking about content, but influences in general, I have put off work to finish series because I was too into it, but that can apply to any type of show really!.
I think like any other shows out there (or rather genres), it is just based on the individuals and how they take it!. I remember awhile back reading an article about how a 10 year old boy died because he suffocated in a sand box because his friends were playing a Naruto game that involved Gaara's sand attacks!. Another case I've heard is with Death Note, in various parts of the world, kids in middle schools have been found with their own "death notes" in which they wrote the names of students or teachers at their schools!. Like earlier stated, it depends on how the individual takes it!. But these type of things happen with kids trying to imitate American shows so they are not lone cases!.The content for the most part (not counting animes intended for younger kids) are more generally "adult" but, if taken in a mature way, all sorts of different experiences can be drawn from it!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

As stated by so many others on this particular question, anime can have a good or bad influence!. It depends on age, maturity level, and common sense!. I have seen some really good anime (good storyline, good character development, appropriate language and content, etc etc) and i have seen some bad anime (usually by accident ^^;;) Appropriate animes leave me with a good feeling and make me want to be a better person!. A lot of the main character's personalities involve someone who doesn't want to give up, wants to try harder at everything, basically be the best person they can possibly be!. And i like that!. There's been times where i don't feel worth anything or i just can't make myself do what is needed, but watching some anime gets me motivated!.

I think it's good, it's how I started reading serious novels anyway!. Many of my friends like anime and all of them do very well in (or try very hard at) writing (since all anime started out as a manga and some even novels) it also promotes reading!. I think it helps boost the creativity in students and intrest in other culters!.
That is to say, for any serious anime fans!. Children however may get the wrong idea and find the animes very imitatable!. Some animes have no point whatsoever and a lot of inaproprate smutt, and that helps no one!. But there also alot of innocent animes that hurts no one and entertains many!.
I personally watch anime for one reason and that is entertainment!. When I was younger that was my reason also but back then I liked all cartoons!. Now that I'm older I find anime to be a lot better then many American cartoons and I love the idea that they all started as mangas or novels!. I try to read the shorter series before I watch the anime, but if I can get my hands on the anime first I will!. Anime is my life, I'm both a collector and an obsessor!. :]Www@Enter-QA@Com

Sailor Moon gave me a strong imagination and a sense of doing what's right, no matter what!.
However, some anime may further the idea that women should be scantilly clad on television or may cause *young* children to mimic what they see- as would anything else!.

Well, I guess some of them do have bad language and that's not very good for kids or anybody basically!.!.!. I personally HATE anime, besides Teen Titans and Pokemon if that is considered anime!. But stuff like Naruto and Dragonball and Bleach!.!.!. Nah!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
