The Joker will definitely have trouble finding a purpose to continue doing his crimes as he basically lives to taunt batman!. But no, i don't think he will kill himself just because batman dies!. Maybe some other vigilante will that see him better off dead(like the reaper in batman Year 2) and batman isn't there to stop it!.
One thing that batman isn't and that's a killer!.
I think the end of The Killing Joke best sums this up, as does a line from the Dark Knight: "We're just a bunch of freaks"
Besides, harley will take care of ol' Mr J!
