Question: Whats the deal with superman and doomsday!?
ok i just really wanna know whats like suppose to be the story of superman and doomsday!. because i saw alot of videos and one of them was a superman vs a superman!. i wanna know whats on with that was it like clone vs clone or what and which was the real one and then i watched superman vs doomsday and it says he dies but at the end of all the videos it shows superman beat doomsday because he slams him down to the ground from space!. and on one of those videos the one that still didn't show him die!. in the video description it said the death of superman gave birth to four new supermen, called superboy, eradicator, cyborg, and steel!. then i also heard that doomsday dosent die untill a clone of superman comes and kills him!. not only that but i also read from one of the answers from someone elses question said that superman kills doomsday after his first death so now im thinking he died more then once!. is this true!? and can somone tell me the whole story between the clones and doomsday!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

It's a really long and involved plot, but here's the gist of it: Doomsday was a monster from Krypton that was intent on destroying all Kryptonian life due to circumstances surrounding his creation!. Doomsday is a being that has self-regenerating cells with threat memory!. He is essentially immortal as he can be reborn each time he dies, with new defenses against whatever killed him in his previous "life"!. His early development was marked by his creator subjecting him to death over and over again, letting him be killed by anything and everything on Krypton that he could in order to try to create a perfect being!. This resulted in Doomsday having an ingrained hatred to all things that can possibly be considered a threat to him!. His has a single-minded, driven goal to destroy anything that can be harmful!.
Doomsday came to Earth and went toe-to-toe with Superman in a famous fight that eventually resulted in both of their "deaths"!. Doomsday's body was kept locked away in a Cadmus facility!. While Superman was "dead", 4 new Supermen appeared in the DC universe!. These were Superboy (supposed younger clone of Superman), Steel (John Henry Irons), Cyborg Superman (Hank Henshaw), and the Last Son of Krypton (a Kryptonian energy weapon taking the form of Superman, "Eradicator")!.
Cyborg, knowing Doomsday is still a threat, steals Doomsday's body from Cadmus, strapping it to an asteroid and hurling it out into space (after which we find out Doomsday is indeed still alive)!. Roughly during the same time, Last Son steals Superman's body from it's tomb and puts it into a regeneration matrix up in the Fortress of Solitude!. All 4 Supermen begin protecting metropolis in Supe's places, with 3 or the 4 vying for the title of the one true Superman (Steel doesn't make the claim)!.
Eventually the true Superman is regenerated, but without his powers!. Without going into too much detail eventually the Eradicator sacrifices himself to "repower" Superman!. Later, Doomsday is found to have landed on Apokolips and is wreaking havoc there!. Superman goes to take care of him once and for all, but is unable to defeat him (remember Doomsday cannot be killed by something that has killed him before)!. Superman uses a time travel device to strand Doomsday at the End of Time, effectively ending his threat forever!.
