Naruto is a ninja, if you think of it this way

He uses kunai (like when he is putting wind chakra into it)
He is using the power of his body to defeat enemies (chakra)
He is mastering techniques that are only available to his village
He kicks ***

also, you try to use him wearing orange as an argument!. Does that mean that to be African American you have to like fried chicken!. It's one of the worst assumptions you can make, it's called "stereotyping!."

Well, what you said is fairly correct!. But every concept makes sense depending on how you define it!. In the Naruto universe, a ninja is defined as rather like a henchman/soldier, and they can use various techniques with their "chakra", so within that universe everything works!.
