Question: How do i publish a manga!?
Ok, I've written a story and i would like to get it published into a manga!. I'm having it sent off to get copyrighted in a couple of days and after that I would like to send it off to a publishing company!. But first I need to know something, do you need artistic skill to create a manga!? I already have the story but will I need the pictures to go with it or will the publishing company take care of that for me!? Please help this is the first time I've ever tried to publish anything much less a manga!. All advice would be greatly appreciated!. Thanks!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Yes, artwork makes up at least half of a graphic novel or a manga (and I would advise you not to use the term "manga" when you are attempting to deal with an American publisher), and probably the more important half!. If you think any publisher is going to buy only a script for a graphic novel and hire an artist to draw the book, you really don't understand how publishing works!. Without artwork, you don't have a finished product to offer to a publisher, so, yes, you would need to provide the artwork!. If you cannot draw, you'll have to find an artist who will either provide the artwork for a flat fee (which would probably cost you several thousand dollars) or, find one who would provide the artwork on speculation for half of the publisher's payment for the first rights and half of any royalties!. I doubt you could find a decent artist who would draw so much material on speculation, especially to illustrate a story by someone who has never had anything published!. If you can draw on a professional level you shouldn't have much trouble doing the artwork yourself!.
My advice would be to try some other facet of literature first, and once you have had some short stories or some articles published you will be in a more realistic position to possibly try to convince someone to publish a graphic novel (with or without a partner), if you would still be interested in that project!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

If you find an artist, you can publish it yourself online!. There are sites like ComicGenesis and WebComicsNation where you can publish your own comics for free!. (Personally, I found WCN easier to use!.)

If a publishing company takes over, they will probably alter or change something within your original ideas, you may want to just copyright and find, or create a magazine in the US like Jump to combine your manga in!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
