Well, at the end Kagome was thrust into the Shikon Jewl!. The hope was that she'd lose her spirit to the darkness and make a wish on it!. Kagome was apparently destined to live in the Jewel and continue the internal fight, where the dead Naraku was as well!. She nearly did, before Inuyasha used Meidou Tetsusiaga to cut a hole and follow!. The Bone Eater's Well dissapeared!. Inside, they found eachother and Kagome was finally sure of what she needed to do!. She wished upon the Shikon Jewel that it would dissapear, and it did!.
For three years, Kagome lived in her world, Inuyasha his!. Things changed!. Kirara and Kohaku left often to train and Totosai made him a fine weapon!. Shippou ventured off more a lot to become a great demon fox!. Sango finally bore Miroku's children!. Two twins and another child is born near the end!. However, Kagome and Inuyasha linger on eachother!. The Well has sealed, so they can't really visit eachother!.
Finally, Kagome knows why the Well is sealed and gives her mom a sad embrace!. As revealed by her brother, Souta, right after high school she went!. She married Inuyasha, learning about herbs from Kaede, as did Rin!. Rin was going to be allowed to choose between a human village, or Sesshoumaru!. He still cares for the girl, and he comes to the village to give her a new kimono, scowling when Kagome calls him "Brother-in-law"!. So Kagome and Inuyasha end up together!.
