Question: Is it possible that certain children's cartoons could be promoting greed!?
I don't think I've realized it until now, but I've noticed that out of all the children's cartoons I've seen, a lot of them have greedy characters!. In the show Spongebob Squarepants, Mr!. Krabs is obsessed with money and unwilling to spend any of it!. In the show That's So Raven, Ravens little brother will do anything in his power to get a little bit of money, even if it means disobeying his parents!. Is it possible that this could be promoting greed in children, or will it have no effect!?Www@Enter-QA@Com

Obviously you have found some very good examples!. Certain kids cartoons seem to be promoting things like greed or being impolite and rude!. But this feature does not usually effect many children!. Unless the main character is rude or has other bad attributes than this issue will most likely not have a large effect on children!. When ever Mr!. Krabs or Raven's brother is greedy the end usually has a way to cancel the greediness out like in the episode about Raven's brother stealing at the end he learns that it is better to earn your money than to steal things to get money!. Mr!. Krabs also is extremely nice and his greediness is usually in the background like when he gets the crane machine to get more money, the main purpos of the episode focuses on Squidward thinking that winning is everything (remember the winner dance)!. So yes, children cartoons usually have a character with some awful attributes but unless they're more mature or are looking for that most children don't see the greediness a "I should be greedy too" but more of as a "look how silly Mr!. I doubt it promotes greed!. Cartoon characters come in all shapes and sizes and they all can't be the same!. If anything it reflects personalities that are in the real world!. Mr!. Krabs as the "stingy boss"!. Anyways greedy characters is a staple in an interesting cartoon like a hero is in a fairy tale!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
