Good quality animation, deep story lines, innovative and creative ideas!.
A lot of American pop-culture and medias are greatly influenced by it, "Kill Bill", "The Matrix" and so on, but most people don't know the depth that Japanese anime reaches!.

anime rite now is very popular in America i very much prefer naruto!.I like anime because most animes have a good storyline and if they do end the ending is very well thought out and u never know whts going to happen!.But i guess alot of people like anime because stuff happens that could never happen in the real worldWww@Enter-QA@Com

Mushishi is an awesome series~ it has great art/animation, and there are beautifully well told stories that are really compelling and make you feel for the characters!. That's why it is my favorite!. Give it a try, maybe you might like it~

Well, I don't like Naruto, I find that series to be highly overrated (of the few eps I've seen of Bleach it seems okay enough)!.
I used to watch several american shows (thankfully in Latin America we get a lot of American tv shows subbed to spanish), but most of the new shows made in the US simply suck!. 90% of the dramas are cops shows that all look the same!. Even CSI has started to become another one of the bunch!. I find it annoying that most cops shows magically solve the cases in each episode and everyone takes things too much by the rulebook and act so serious!. Ugh!.
Smallville is a very popular series in Mexico for some reason, but I could never ge the show!.
Most of the new sypcoms are just not of my taste and of the few funny shows I do like; I feel like Scrubs is coming to an end soon and the third season of My Name is Earl isn't half as good as the first season!.
I'm not much of a mexican telenovela fan (imfamia!!)!. I was getting to enjoy a novela called "Pasion", but my university semester started to get real heavy and I missed out on 90% of the plot and never had any idea what the heck was going on!. Now that I'm on vacations the soaps on right now are dissapointing!. Alma de Hierro has a dumb plot about a girl who hates this annoying guy, but they end up together and Tormenta en el paraíso or whatever that soap is called focuses on the annoying and overly theatric mother instead of the hawt oldest daughter who wears glasses!. ??
TV Azteca seems to be running out of half decent ideas these days and they are producing an apparently mexican version of Desperate Housewives (they are even filimg the show using American style houses lol) which is more like a boring retelling of the American version but with mexican actresses and in spanish!. We need more shows featuring Hiromi Hasakawa!.
As of newsshows, I get bored hearing the same 2 things over again, Fox News talks all day about Obama yet they have never shown what the president of Mexico looks like even once (guess what happens in Latin America isn't flashy news); and mexican political programs spend the entire hour talking about how great Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador is!. Ugh!.
It's no surprise why I like anime which is heavily available on mexican tv hehehe!. I do like American cartoons, but channels here have stopped showing the good old school cartoons I grew up with and loved!. I like Fairy Oddparents, but they show it like 20 times a day!. ??
Oh, I'm also watching the Eurocup, some of the games have been pretty good!.
You should try watching some of the good anime series sometime, there's a show out there for everyone!. Not all anime is kiddy and corny!. I'd never let a kid watch Cat Soup for instance!. Utena got cancelled 3/4's thru it's premiere run in Mexico when the tv stations found out there was incest sex scenes in the plot!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
